Im 4 and a half weeks pregnant and I don't have cramping going on..I did with my first pregnancy..is this a bad sign? I am having other symptoms like fatique, sore breasts, bloating, and such but am not feeling cramps...is it still to early or could this be a sign of a weak pregnancy?...Im being a worry wort...can some one ease my mind??thank you all for the reassurance!...I feel much better now....how will I pick best answer..you all are great! more

my mother had a very bad fall last weekend causing her to break 4 ribs. for pain management her doctor had given her the following meds- oxycontin 20 mg twice a day, oxycodone 4 mg every 4 hours, and naproxen 800mg twice a day. my mother had started to not eat and go potty. i called the doctor that had seen her and was told to give her slim fast shakes before a pill. i was at this point a bit upset do to her being a diabetic among other issues. i also explained to the doctor that my mother has suddenly, extreme onset of Alzhemers/Dementia symptoms as soon as she started on it. i was told it's impossible. i continued giving her med's and watching her seem to just waste away infront of me and the doctor saying this is normal on thursday i had to take her back in due to her blood sugars being extremly high. now she is in the hospital with a tube down her nose to remove gas and blockage of bowls and cathetrized. yet they insist they have no idea what is causing all of this. i'm very worried that possible the pain meds have harmed my mother for life. they also say she may have had a stroke or a tiny heart attack i would not have been able to catch. i think they have harmed her with the meds and covering it up. is this a normal response to these medications? have you ever heard of this before if so what happened and what can be done to fix it? how long will this last. my mother is 53 years old and never shown a tiny hint till they put her on these medications. upon arrival at er they gave her a tox screen it showed elevated levels i was told that someone must be giving her more meds then needed. however i know for a fact i wasn't i wrote it on a schedual and all the pill are accounted for. i am scared and at my wits end about this. i was never told she would need a stool softer or these signs but just exactly how does an alert person go to not remembering, stuttering, can't walk, feed, change self, and just basically to a this. which has lead me to believe it's the medications they had put her on. i appreciate anyone who can plz relate or at least offer some advice on how to make this doctor see that my mom wasn't losing it before she recieved these med's. u may also e-mail ur answers to- short.lil_momma@yahoo.com if you like. more

Open Question: Peritonsillar Abscess?

In May, woke up with a sore throat looked down throat noticing tonsils swollen, bubbles and pus on tonsils. Went to ER, doctor told me she believes I may have Quinsy (Peritonsillar Abscess). Next day in alot of pain, went back to ER, had throat culture and blood test for GF. Bloods came back neg, throat swap all I was told was fungus was grown but it was not resistent to penicillin. She prescribed me Penicillin (25 tablets 500mg) for ten days to which I started immediately. Noticing the Pus was then falling off and the infection seem to be clearing up I was all happy once again able to swallow. 14 days later after I finish the course, I then notice it returns. This time I got to my GP who I tell this story to ONCE again and he once again does another throat culture has a spastic fit over the doctor only giving me a 25 tablet dose, prescribes me another round of penicillin (50 tablets-4 per day 500mg). Once again come the end of the treatement which i believe worked out the be once again almost 14 days I start showing signs again of the same thing. Soooo.... back off the GP (same doctor) explained same thing once again.. he does yet another throat culture this time prescribes Erythromicin. So I got off and take that for my 6 days course (I think) come the sunday of course my symptoms are gone. After sunday (last tablet) I notice my tonsil area once again becoming red and inflammed. No signs of any pus spots (hooray) but to my dismay, my left tonsil is still the one that is greatly enlarged. Thursday brings new light. Mouth still red raw, popping pills (was suppose to see doctor the wed but cos of receptionist stuff up, I am moved to saturday until I get a call cancelling saturday now moved to monday) my chest hurts. Friday night in agony all night very little sleep and notice pus nodules re-emerging (esp one spot to which I believe is where the abscess is but doctors apparently NEVER listen cos they're always right) get up saturday morning still can hardly talk, in complete agony from my chest and throat (extra pus nodules and bubbles devolped) so to hell with it go back to ER. They do ECG cos of the chest pain and its all clear so I sit and awake to be called. Go in, doctor listens to chest and heart etc (does NOT check glands nothing else) looks down my throat and goes ohh yes pus we're going to put you onto Roxithromycin (pretty much same area as Rulide- added drug than Eryc) and onto prednislone. I have to go back in 3 days if it doesn't seem to get any better, I do have a doc app on monday to which I can talk to GP about it all. I am wondering if anyone else has had same experience or if someone who has any capable medical background could possible answer this. If you're gonna sit there and say (GO TO THE ER) well I already have and there is nothing else they will actually do. All I can ask for next is ENT and tonsillectomy. Any input would be much appreciated. I am currently on Roxithromicyn (150mg 2 daily for 5 days) and Prednislone (25mg 2 daily for 5 days) I also was prescribed Panadeine Forte for pain relief. The pain is literally unbareable and I am sick of seeing ppl who don't seem to look any further into it. I don't know if a throat swab can detect an abscess, but I sure as hell wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy cos my heard kills my chest kills and it makes you so ill and light headed. Also, is it contagious, my 5 yr old has a adenotonsillectomy in 3 weeks and if chances are he could catch the tonsillitis off me, I wanna get him onto something str8 away. ThanksDeffy been classified as bacterial hence antibiotics. My belief is because it always starts in the one spot being that the top left side of my left tonsil that it's possibly where the abscess is to which continues to spread the pus, but I will request another blood test. My last one came back fine apart from the normal white cell count which was within reason for an infection of it's nature more

JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK. HONEST OPINIONS ARE WELCOME! FADING Chapter 1: Vanish Unwillingly, Samuel opened his eyes. It was raining outside, but the faintest bit of sunlight shined in through the blinds on his window. The lstreaks of light stretched out across the floor and cast shadows of the objects in his room against the pale blue walls. His eyes were still wet from the tears that he had cried himself to sleep with. His mind was full of the haunting images from the day before. His head so clouded with thoughts, yet he felt so empty. He closed his eyes to see the pictures more clearly and instantly resented every one. Sitting up in his bed, he read the alarm clock on the nightstand beside his bed. It read 6 o’clock. H had no more than thirty minutes to be ready for school. Samuel reluctantly forced himself out of bed and threw on whatever clothes he could fin in his practically empty closet. It didn’t matter what he wore. He didn’t care what he looked like. He didn’t even want to leave his house. He would stay in bed all day, all week, forever even, if his mother had not insisted on him finishing his last week of junior high. It all seemed pointless. Saying goodbye to everyone. It hurt Samuel to see her like this. “Mom, I don’t have to go. I can stay here with you. I think you need me more than I need to be in school right now.” She struggled to shake her head and simply nodded towards the kitchen. Samuel sighed and went to retrieve a glass of water. Why does she have to be so stubborn, he thought to himself. Ever since she had been diagnosed with cancer, she insisted that Samuel become more social and involved in school functions. His lack of doing so had seemed to make her symptoms worse. Her worry for her son only increased her suffering. She wasn’t the only one suffering, though. Watching his mother slowly die before his eyes was more than Samuel could bear, but what could he do? She refused to partake in the chemotherapy she claimed killed her mother. He finally nidged through the crowd and reached his locker. He stored away his bookbag and grabbed his yearbook. He knew that no one would really want to sign it, but all week long people would be saying their final words to one another and writing messages in each other’s yearbooks. He could at least get his teacher’s to sign his. He was after all a good student. He ducked through the halls and when he entered his homeroom, a plump little redhead motioned for him to where she was sitting. Hello, I'm nursing a 20-week-old baby, and my menstrual cycle has not yet returned. What signs should i look for in case I am pregnant aside from having a missed period? Are the symptoms of pregnancy the same while breast-feeding? Perhaps they feel more or less intense due to hormonal differences? If I take a test and find that I'm pregnant, should I request that a doctor perform an ultrasound to estimate the age of the fetus? Please don't think that I'm being silly by asking these questions. Are there any pregnancy calculators out there which I can enter the date when my hubby and I did the "baby dance" and find out possible due dates? more

Open Question: PLEASE HELP NOW, VERY WORRIED!?

I cannot go to the doctor because I have no insurance, so please disregard that. My problem is that yesterday I found that my vulva lips were swollen and discharging a sort of very light gray oozing substance, and it was very uncomfortable to sit and the whole area down there was itchy and burning. I think it's a yeast infection but today on only my left upper thigh, I found a line of tiny pink dots, which look like mosquito bites. But I am certain they are not mosquito bites because I never noticed them before and I haven't been outside for more than the time it takes me to get in and out of my car to my destination. I did a little research online and it said that sometimes this is a sign of genital herpes? But I'm pretty sure it's nearly impossible for me to have an STD of any kind, and I took AZOYeast, and the next morning my vulva was normal size, but the itching and burning continue until I put Monistat 1 external cream down there. It is not just my vagina, it is also my butt area, but I think those rashes are because when I clean with toilet paper, I scrub really hard, and I know that is how they were formed and they have also been present for a MUCH longer time than these new symptoms. If you have had genital herpes and a yeast infection, please help me distinguish, I am very worried. I am pretty sure it is just a yeast infection and the "bites" are probably from my aggressive shaving habits, but I need to be sure.I have never had sex nor done anything sexual in a long time, and even then, my body was not directly touched, I had clothing on.Also, these bumps feel like very mild mosquito bumps, they barely itch at all.I talked to my mom about this and she said it was a yeast infection but i just wanted to make sure and get a second opinion. Also, I've heard with herpes you get scabs and pus-filled blisters, and I have none of that. AZOYeast took care of the...cottage cheese discharge? i guess is how i would describe it. These are the most "common" signs I'm hearing that i don't have: No tenderness to my breasts, no frequent urination. I had sex during the time I usually ovulate, I've missed birth control pills like crazy this month. A week ago, I was constantly feeling sick after and before eating. Yesterday, I had non stop gas ALL DAY (tmi sry). Today it stopped but I got sharp pains on the lower side of my back, but they went away its not like an ache. A few days ago I took my sister to the emergency room because she was complaining about chest pain. The doctors ran test and did a CT scan (cat scan) and found nothing wrong with her. The doctor then told her that some times when you are stressed or depressed can lead to chest pains and high blood pressure, then told her to relax and take it easy, Now, just to give you some details on my sister, she is a very angry, short tempered women...So I got online and looked up the common signs and symptoms of being bipolar, and thought that she can relate to them and thought maybe she should go talk to a doctor or something. To make a long story short when I told her, she threw a cup of juice at me and screamed to the top of her lungs every curse word you can imagine and slammed to door so hard that she broke the door handle and lock off. She was fine and happy about 30 minuets when we where laughing, having fun and dancing in my living room. Can this be a sign of being Bipolar? If not what do you think this is? I cant take it anymore, Im desperate to get her some help before she ends up doing something that will sadden the entire family! Please no rude comments!! more

I have an 8 yr old rat terrier whom just yesterday had her annual vaccinations. She was fine the entire afternoon. This morning however she's become lethargic and won't get up. It seems she's in pain. She won't drink or eat either. I've been doing a lot of reading on the controversy of pet vaccination, but can't find a clear answer. Open Question: I believe something is terribly wrong...?

I have been feeling extremely sore at the base of my stomach... And a few weeks ago, I had a yeast infection and took a round of the Monistat 7 day treatment. It caused me terrible pain to do so! It burned, itched, caused me to have cramps, and it even caused me to have back pain! So, I took it for around 4-5 days and decided that it wasn't worth the pain. Plus, I though the infection was gone. Symptoms of an infection started showing up again, so this time I got the 3 day treatment and it has done much better... but on removing the applicator, I noticed a dark yellow infection. It also seemed to have a little blood in it. What can this be a sign of? I've never heard of a yeast infection having a dark yellow color. Thank you so much for your help. more

I have double vision in my right eye and have seen an optometrist and ophthalmologist about it, but didn't get any clear detailed opinions from them about what is causing the double vision, other than cataracts. But they say the cataracts are too small to be a problem, and the ophthalmologist seems to think that implies the double vision is also not a problem. Especially because I mentioned that I don't notice it when reading street signs in broad daylight. In other words, it only seems to happen in normal office light or less. To try to find out what the most likely cause of the double vision is, I'm going to try to describe a phenomenum associated with it, in enough detail that it might ring a bell for someone who has seen the exact same symptom: When reading text, such as this, if I aim my head upward, so my eye has to look down to see the text, it looks close to normal. As I move my head down, so my eye has to be moving up to stay on the text, a 2nd image of the text forms above the original image. As I keep moving my head down, the 2nd image gets brighter and the first gets dimmer. When my head is down all the way, so my eye has to aim all the way up, the 2nd image is close to normal, and the first is gone. Someone here mentioned that it might be caused by astigmatism, but that was before I mentioned the above exact details of moving my head up and down. Also the optometrist and ophthalmologist didn't mention anything about astigmatism to me. If you can think of what it's most likely to be, from the above symptoms, can you explain how the symptoms relate to that? more

Open Question: Is this a sign of my period coming?

My last period came at the end of May and ended early in June. I did not get my period near the end of June as I thought I would. Yesterday, I noticed that I was having this light brown discharge and I thought my period would come today. Instead, I got this headache and I was feeling tired and had a general ill feeling. I've also been having a light headache for a few days now. During June, the symptoms I've been experiencing were normal PMS symptoms. I've also been feeling quite moody, often quite angry or really sad, worried, or anxious. Yesterday, I woke up feeling nauseous due to a lack of sleep (at least that's what I think) I highly doubt that I'm pregnant - the only thing that I did with my boyfriend was have him finger me after he wiped precum (precum before ejaculation) off my legs when he accidentally got it there...but this was WAY after (like 30 mins). Even if he touched me down there, it was already dried up. I haven't been eating excessively or having cravings...even if I had a few they were the usually cravings that I get with the PMS symptoms. What could my symptoms possibly mean? Is there a slight chance that I'm pregnant or are these just PMS symptoms gone wild? My friend is a 20 year old male with a late mother who was clinically diagnosed with schizophrenia. He's told me in the past that he's woken up and seen his dad or mother lying in bed next to him, and he's talked to them. I shrugged it off as a dream. We were joking around one night, and he went to turn around and thought he hit me, but I told him he hadn't. He was very apologetic. That same night, about 10 minutes following that, I was drunk with him in my office...and I went to take his keys away from him because I dubbed him too drunk to drive, and instead of putting up a fight, he handed them to me. Strange, I thought. I looked in his eyes and it felt like he was looking 50 miles past me. I tapped him, and called his name...and nothing. He answered me about 2 minutes later and wondered why his cigarette was out. I told him that I'd been talking to him for a couple minutes, and he looked at me and walked into the bathroom. I followed him and waited outside...when he opened the door I hugged him and asked him what just happened. He told me he was having a conversation with himself. I didn't catch on...until we walked out back to the main room and he sat down and told me about the day his mom died, and how much of a coward he was. Now, he never knew his Dad who passed Jan. of last year...but he grew up with his mother who passed when he was 12. He told me more in depth about her. Then he walked behind the counter, and when I looked at him...it wasn't my friend. The look in his eyes was TERRIFYING. He came to standing right there. I looked at him, and he questioned me as to why I looked so scared. 20 minutes later, I told him everything that had happened. He confessed that it has happened twice before... and that was all that we really talked about. I told him the following weekend he should see a doctor, but he politely turned me down. Now, this past weekend I took him to his first rave, where he proceeded to get drunk, again. Shit faced, to be more honest. I took XTC. He told me part way thorough the night that he was done, and it was someone else in his place. I ended up getting really sick and he had to take care of me. When I was sober and he was as well, he told me he didn't remember much of the night because he had another episode. He said the voices said to go to bed because he was tired, but I KNOW that he's lying. I just know it. I don't know what to do. Any advice? ok I just asked a question (details below) and many ppl say this is a sign of pregnancy..... Please expand on why this could be pregnancy!! please! ALSO!! I received a call from my doctor saying my pap smear results came back normal, except for there was a slight amount of bacteria found. She said if I showed no signs of symptoms, there was no need to call back. I'm not showing any of the symptoms she named, but it still makes me nervous. Has this ever happened to anyone else? So, this is sort of both a rant and a question all rolled into one. Im due for AF tommorrow. (1st day of last cycle was june 3) Took anearly result pt this am with FMU and, no shocker, got a BFN. My cycles usually start between the 27th-4th. Usually what happens is if i start one month on the say 2nd or 3rd, ill start the next month around the 27th or 28th.... Open Question: 38 weeks pregnant severe discomfort...?

I had my 38 week check up yesterday. The Dr. seemed a bit concerned about the swelling in my feet and weight gain. I gained four pounds in one week which shocked even me because I haven't had an appetite for the passed couple of weeks. She said the swelling in my ankles and feet could be a normal sign of pregnancy (especially during the Summer although we've had nothing but cool rainy days) but she also said that she wanted to keep a close watchful eye on any other symptoms. Well, last night I ran around doing errands against Dr's orders and I ended up throwing out my back. It was already bad enough that my hips and back have been killing me for days. Now I can't even walk or lift my legs high enough to put pants on or get on to my bed. I'm in so much pain I can barely move. Since about 30 weeks I've had sharp pains in the vaginal area but they were inconsistent and I was told that it could be from the baby's head resting on a nerve. For about a week now, especially today the pain has been pretty regular. I'm practically immobile. Last night during all the tossing and turning, peeing every hour, and heartburn I awoke to my arm being numb from my finger tips to my elbow. I figured that I was just sleeping on it funny but today both hands are noticeably swollen and the right arm is completely numb and rubbery feeling as if someone shot it up with Novocain. Has anyone felt this horrible when they were 38 weeks? What were some of the remedies you used to feel better? Is this what it feels like when it's almost over or do you think it's still a possibility that I'm going to deliver late and go another two weeks with this kind of discomfort? I don't know how much more of this I can take. My body is going to completely give out any minute now. I feel like I'm going to go crazy. And the cliche pregnancy waiting game begins... :( more

Open Question: Should I test now or would it be smarter to wait a couple more days?

I was supposed to start my period on Sunday and I'm very regular and the day came and went and still today I've not started, I even have had sex and that usually always makes me start around the time of my period (sorry if tmi). I haven't shown any of my normal signs that I'm going to start either. Me and my b/f dont have protected sex (want a child) and we had sex around ovulation (if i did infact ovulate then) so it's a good chance. Only thing that I have noticed is for about the past week ive been having cramps off and on and they hurt and are unlike my period cramps. I'll have one and as soon as it comes, it goes away and then it'll happen again a little later. Ive been soo tired and just fall asleep out of nowhere, and ive been being dizzy with stomach aches. What are your thoughts?? Should I go get a pregnancy test or assume maybe that these are just PMS symptoms and that if i dont start in a couple more days test?? more

Open Question: Lightheadness, vertigo, possible bruit: should I be worried?

For years I have been getting a sharp pain in the right side of my neck when my heart beats real fast. My physician said it may be a carotid bruit and to go to a cardiologist, who pretty much told me i was making it up and never did the ultrasound. Also, a week ago I was standing by my desk at work when all of the sudden it felt like my brain was vibrating inside my skull for about 5 seconds, immediately followed by a strong feeling of vertigo for a good 15 seconds. While it was happening somebody called me over to them but it was all I could do to grip the desk to keep from falling over from the dizziness. This has happened about 4 times in the last 6 months, and I am wondering if it could be related to my arterial pain, like my brain is losing circulation or something. I am only 18 though, so a blockage doesn't seem likely, though I know I have high cholesterol and high blood pressure do to pretty crappy genes. Could these little symptoms be signs of something worse? more

Open Question: Hearing things? Schizophrenia? Or something else?

Neither of my parents are schziphrenic (that I know of at least, and neither are any of my siblings, but lately I've began to wonder if I'm starting to display some early symptoms of schizophrenia. I'm a 20 year old female, by the way, and I know it can develop this late in life. I'll sometimes be going about my day at home when I'll think I've heard my mom call my name. There is usually at TV on in the living room and animals running around so I don't know if I actually hallucinated that I heard it, or just heard something that sounded like my name and mistook it. My boyfriend and I will also be having conversations and later when I mention something about the conversation he'll go "no no, I didn't say that at all." Did I just hallucinate what people were saying? Other than these short instances, I don't have any other auditory/visual hallucinations. The ones I do have last about a split second. There is never any ongoing conversation in my head. It's not like they're "in my head" anyway. It's like I can distinctly interpret them from my outside surroundings. I also don't display any signs of paranoia, etc. What do you think? Could these cases have simply been my ears tricking me, or should I worry? more

Open Question: My ex might have herpes, do i?

Ok so long story short. After I started dating my boyfriend, I found out his ex girlfriend had genital herpes. Supposedly she contracted it AFTER them breaking up so he wasn't exposed. We both got checked. I even had a panel ran on my blood to check for herpes even though my Dr said that without any symptoms it might not show up. This was almost 2 years ago. Last year we got engaged and all was well. We recently broke up after i found out he has been lying and stealing, and rumors surfaced that he was still messing with the ex who has herpes and others. I haven't had any outbreaks, but upon researching I've been reading that outbreaks may not appear for years depending on the person. Is it likely that I have it?? Is a blood test a reliable measure or do they only test if there are signs of an outbreak? Should I get another blood test? I'm panicked and don'tknow what to do. I do believe he was with his ex while we were together. Is there a chance that I could not have it even if he was exposed? Any advice is appreciated ! more

Open Question: Depression and Anxiety?

Hello. I was questioning if I really DO have depression/anxiety disorder, if so what are the signs (I know that it may be hard to distinguish since everybody is different, but I just want a general outlook of the symptoms)? When I go for my doctors appointment next month I was also wondering how I should bring it up to my doctor that I may be depressed/anxiety disorder. As for Depression: - I feel as life may have no meaning - I have frequent thoughts of suicide (any time I'm about to attempt, thoughts of my father thinking that I will curse my family if I kill myself) Sometimes I do smile (I'm not sure if that has to do w/ anything..) - I get irritated quickly (I'm usually patient) - I feel different compared to how I feel 3 months ago (As in I feel empty) - I am an artist and have not been able to draw/write anything in about 3 months (Now my only hobby is reading, but sometimes I just cant concentrate, and If I manage to it takes a while) -I have no self esteem (I haven't for a while) - Most of the time I just want to be alone, I hate being around people. I have heard that a bubbly sensation in the tummy can be a symptom of pregnancy. Has anyone else experienced this? if so, how soon is it possible to start feeling it? Open Question: Lupus, Narcolepsy, MS? What should I look for?

30 y/o 5'2" 115. mixed raced female. So 3 years ago around this time I developed bloodshot eyes (no other eye symptoms, no pain either) it lasted for weeks. shortly after that I started to lose movement to my right fingers, then my hand, then within a week my right leg and right arm. I had absolutely no feeling, and never any pain. My arm was like Jello. I was hospitalized for a week. The docs poked with needles and I didn't feel a thing. I received an MRI the docs found nothing. I was told that they found elevated levels of something (don't remember) that may indicate Lupus. They also said it could be very early signs of MS. Here I am with Bloodshot eyes again expecting the worst. Here are also some other things I can't make sense of. * I've been having sleep paralysis (ongoing since 16 yo) I thought it was ghosts, so I didn't get a referral to a sleep specialist till now. * I am always tired, since I was born. I love sleep more than I will every love anyone or money. I can sleep straight through an entire weekend or party. * I have a very weak stomach. Almost everything gives me loose stools. *I'm constantly confused, disoriented, lightheaded. *At times I seem to lose my balance, especially when I'm not looking at the ground, as if I have to focus on my feet and tell it where to go. Can you all help me piece this puzzle together? What tests should I take?THanks for your answers. I have to add that although I am concerned and curious I have not freaked out about the situation. When I was hospitalized and had lifeless limbs, surprisingly, I didn't worry at all. Open Question: NEED ADVICE~VAGINA ISSUES?

Hello! I have seen two doctors a total of 5 times this June. It all started out with a boil that I had from shaving around the bikini area. I went to the gyno and when she checked it out she said it was healing and therefore did not give me any treatment. Then a week later, I came down with the fever, chills, body aches, sweat, and the boil came back. It hurt really bad so I went back to the gyno on June 15th and that is when she lanced it, drained it and then put me on Keflex an antibiotic. Well, it healed up nice but then I started to notice a burning when I would pee, so on the 19th I went to see my Primary care doctor thinking that I may have developed a UTI. Well the did the urine culture and there was blood but it came up negative for an bladder infection. So they told me to continue taking the keflex and call if the symptoms were still there. That following Wednesday I called with the same symptoms, I then came in and was seen again. They did another urine culture, she tested me for stds, checked my cervix and said it look healthy. She also took a swab of the cervix to test for yeast infections, or BV, thrush any bacterial infection and everything came up negative. There are no signs of infection! So now I have to go to a specialist for bladder and pelvic but cannot be seen until July 28th. So I am left with this tingling sensation AFTER I pee, then it feels like I still have to go. When I look at my vagina it look s a little bit more red then usual, and sometimes it is itchy. Not a real bad itch but I have been in so much discomfort. The outside of my vagina is irritated and I have no answers, and was hoping if anyone had anything like this happen to them? I am 28 years old, married with two children and never had any issues like this before. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate any advice. THANKS! more

I had unprotected sex in feb. i had my regular period twice but around april i had every sign i was pregnant, nauseous, headachey, raised temps, fatigue, frequent urination, everything. ive been pregnant before so i'm familiar with the symptoms. i ended up taking 2 tests they came up negative. i ruled out pregnancy and forgot about it for 2 months. i have had regular 5 day periods (cramping and clots) every month since then. its now july and i would be about 20 weeks if i were. ive gained 13 lbs, my lower stomach has gotten predominately harder and larger, and some extra stretch marks, im somewhat overwieght so its not noticeably round but most of all i have been feeling little movements like light kicks or flutters in my lower stomach mainly on one side. i know it could be gas, but its more and more everyday now for the past 3 weeks, once in awhile early in the day but mostly at night when i lay down. im also having back pains, fatigue, headaches, food cravings, leg cramps, skin changes, and A LOT of frequent urination. my breasts are a little sore and some what purple and vainy. every part of me is telling me im pregnant. I literally FEEL pregnant. i do have a doctors appointment scheduled for next week. im just wondering if anyone else has been through a similar experience? could i indeed be pregnant? ive heard of people getting their periods throughout their pregnancy, and false negatives and such, so just wondering if this could be me. please dont be rude, im just nervous and would like a few opinions. please be mature. more

Open Question: why do I keep having on and off urine infection symptoms?

i went to the doctor's twice this week, with symptoms of a water infection. It keeps coming on and off, the doctors say it's just because of the heat and stress. They said to drink plenty of fluids, so that it flushes it down and keeps the symptoms at bay. But this morning, I weoke up with excruciatng pain, where my urine tract is. Also wen i wee'd, it was limited and a drop of blood came out aswell. I have had two all-clear tests, and apparently we can all show signs of it, without actually having, but because of the really hot weather and stress, can cause symptoms. I am also showing signs of thrush, so is it thrush that is the main problem, i'm not sure, but I know i do not have a urnie infection. Could it just be stress and weather issues, and lack of fluids? more

Symptoms for the last (roughly) 3 months: Lighter periods (first day regular, 2-3 days light, then gone) *Very* tender breasts a week before starting period Last period came a week early Now I am midway through my cycle, maybe pre-ovulation, and my breasts are starting to get sore again which is at least a week earlier than I've experienced previously and just tonight I've started light cramping. The weirdest thing is that three days ago I started experiencing what I believe are uterine spasms. They occur whether I'm standing or sitting, but more noticeable when I'm sitting. It's exactly like a baby kicking you. I've heard it can be from gas, but that doesn't make sense since I am not experience any "common" signs of being a gaseous entity. I'm starting to worry that I'm one of those women who have a baby and swear up and down they had their period the whole time and it was a surprise. I have a four year old child and knew within a week that I was pregnant from obvious signals my body was giving me. What is this? Really really early perimenopause? I understand my body will change as I age, but this is weird weird weird. Any informative answers that could help me chill out about this will be much appreciated! more
