moreResolved Question: Pain in my left side for a few years, many doctor appts and tests turned up nothing. what can it be?
I have had a pain in my left side for a few years now, along with pain in my back and shoulder on the same side. I have gone to doctors all this time and they have turned up with anything from acid reflux to abdominal migraines (????), I have undergone many tests, CT Scans, Ultrasounds, Bloodwork, Xrays and nothing has turned up. Could it be after all these appointments that they could have missed something very serious (such as a tumor?)? My left rib cage has moved out about an inch or so and I was told it was due to a slight case of scoliosis. I have a lot of pressure under my left rib cage, many times it turns into chest pain. I especially have pain if I am really hungry or if I eat a big meal. My abdomen is hard in some spots and soft in others (hard on the left, softer on the right). I lay awake at night fearing I've had cancer for years, and when they do find it, it will be too late. I am NOT a hypochondriac! These are real aches and pains that have caused me to quit jobs.
I have said all this to doctors and they still come up with nothing, I've finally switched clinics and hopefully things will be better there. My husband and I are trying to have a baby and my cycles are also very irregular, can this be related? I know this is a ton of questions and info, but I need some peace of mind.
moreVoting Question: heart pain during exercise but only when using treadmill?
I am a healthy 21 year old female with a generally good diet. I have no history of heart problems, no known murmurs, etc. I notice that when I do cardio exercise on a treadmill or if I jog outside at a fast pace, I get a tugging sensation best described as right under my heart. It's on the left side of my chest, definitely not a superficial pain, and I would estimate it's down about 6 or 7 ribs. I can exercise on the elliptical, stairmaster, and other "low-impact" equipment up to exhaustion without any chest pain. When I mentioned this to my doctor he said it's most likely lactic acid, but I think it's really unlikely because it's always in the same spot. The nurse did an EKG just to check and she said that appeared normal, too. It's too uncomfortable to run when it occurs though and I feel kind of overwhelmed when I slow down to a stop. Any idea as to what this could be? I wish I could use a treadmill but I don't know if I will be unable to for the rest of my life!Like I said, I do use other equipment and I can do high intensity on other machines and not get any heart pain. I exercise often and eat well, drink at least 2L of water a day - I'm healthier than most people are nowadays. So it's definitely not an issue with my diet or anything. This is why I'm stumped!
moreVoting Question: Sharp pain in the left side of my body?
I was just hanging out at home and i got this sharp pain that escalated from the left side of my neck down to my left should and the left side of my stomach right under the bottom of my ribs. It was on a scale of 1-10 probably a 7 for a few seconds and then it subsided but th pain under my ribs lasted for about 10 minues after but was probably a 3 on the pain scale. I've had a few EKG's and chest X-rays done in the past few months and they checked out with nothing so I can't see it being anything related to heart problems, but I am feeling a little short of breath right now and it kind of feels like there s a lump in my throat but those both might be just my nerves acting up with me... I'm a bit of a worrier. If you've had anything similar to this or if you know of these as symptoms to something else will you please let me know? I hope to hear "You're fine" but who knows!
Thanks everybody
moreVoting Question: Hurts to breathe in, and when i do, it feels like it "pops" and pain goes away?
I have been going through this for MANY years (at least ten) and its been so bad at times, it hurts SEVERELY to even move my arm. It usually happens on the left side of my ribs. Its sometimes excruciating. What is wrong with me?
I found online that I'm at least not alone, I'm going to paste someone else's similar symptoms, and they too have not found a doc. that can tell them what the issue is.
"I've had the similar thing happen to once in a while for about 10 years now, but my doctor has never figured out what it was. The sudden sharp pain feels like it's just in the upper left part of my chest, underneath my breast tissue but quite as deep as my internal organs (lung or heart). Like for you, it will only go away if I breath in or out really deeply, so I force myself to suffer through it and keep breathing in deeply until I feel it "click" away. I've read that it may be caused by inflammation of the tissue, cartilage or muscle between your ribs, something called costochondritis apparently."
i got this post from http://www.steadyhealth.com/pain_under_right_rib_cage__Hurts_to_breathe__t103772_st10.html
please if anyone has any enlightenment, i would really appreciate it.
It hurts so bad.oh and i forgot to add some details, I feel its not what the other person in my post said it is, because It doesnt need to go away in time. not EVERY timei breathe deeply does it hurt. just randomly, and like i said It "pops" or as the other person explained it, it "clicks" and the pain is gone.PRECORDIAL CATCH SYDROME

Not sure where to start but i've been feeling unwell since i had a flu 2 months ago. I have difficulty breathing and feels something is loose on the left side of chest. I can't even talk for long periods because my breath stops for 1 or 2 seconds and i feel i'm going to faint. I think i have palpitations as well. I feel weak and cold especially hands and feet and face feels hot. My left rib looks slightly elevated and is uncomfortable inside it. There is a little pain on the outside of it but not much. I can breathe normally when i'm not active but as soon as my body starts moving i get that horrible faint-like period.

moreVoting Question: Pain in lower left-hand, rear Quadrant intensified with recent bone scan, what could be the problem?
Went to doctor in Feb this year with pain just under the ribs on the left side. CT scan took forever to get, but was completed March 31st. Kidney Stone found, but was informed that this is too small to cause pain. Sent to have Chest X-ray and bone scan procedure done. Tuesday April 28th Bone scan and X-ray completed. I understand that the dye from the bone scan isn't suppose to cause any discomfort and is usually out of the body in 24hrs, but my question is why has the pain in my left side increased 10 fold to what it was yesturday? Having trouble being comfortable and slight trouble in taking breaths in. Please help........Thank you MK for some of your information. Further to the pain on my left-side I forgot to add that 3 years ago I did have a Kidney Stone removed and the last CT scan shows that there is another stone, but it has not moved as of yet. I understand the major discomfort from Kidney Stones and the discomfort that I still feel today two days after the bone scan is very different. It almost feels like someone has shoved a knife into my side and dragged it towards my waist. You are correct 95% of the people I have discussed this with state that the Bone Scan should not have caused this increase in discomfort, but it has so the question now is what could be causing this?Today I have found out some more information concerning bone scan's. On rare occasions this type of procedure has been known to cause headaches and the incrementation of discomfort from a previous condition. It seams to me that I must be one of these rare people, but it doesn't help the discomfort go away. I usually have a very high pain tolerance, and I usually can ignore somethings that are going on, but when it comes to breathing and moving without pain I'm get kind of use to that so I just want it to go away. Any ideas?

I have seen many doctors, have had a cat scan, chest xray, blood work and ekg. there were a few areas in my blood work that seemed to be a little high but the doctors just told me i had pleurisy. moreResolved Question: What could these symptoms be a sign of?
For two weeks now I've had a small pain just under my left rib. Then on saturday I'd felt really sick and on sunday started reaching but it passed. Bearing in mind I did develop a cold and therefore that might be related to that. I've been getting small sharp pains in my stomach and chest area since then and had a nausea feeling in the middle of my chest or it might be that dip in your ribs. I've had a burning feeling a couple of times and my chest has even made a strange rumbling noise. I've had constipation for 5 weeks now. I have been a few times in those weeks like one week I'd went about 3 times then stopped again and then since then I'll strain and if I do go its like one or two tiny pellets. I've been to the doctors plenty of times for blood tests and stool test, all of which all came back normal although one blood test showed that I was almost anaemic. This was sorted with supplements. The doctors also found tears, they've told me it is IBS and nothing to worry about. I'm going back to the doctors this week sometime but would like to know if someone else has ever experienced similar symptoms and had a diagnoses or even just similar symptoms without diagnoses or anyone elses opinion. I'd also like to know if I had a virus of some sort will it be safe to eat now? How long do they usually take to pass? Thanks.

So about 1 1/2 months ago I was hit really hard on the left side of my head (it bled and then swelled and then went away), and a couple of weeks ago I was sick from strep throat for a week. NOW, for the past week, I have had constant stomach aches (especially in the center and under my ribs), soft stool, head aches (in the front of my head, near my temples, and in the area where I was hit), sharp shooting head pains in addition to the headaches, constant feelings of my head and face being squeezed, chest pains in all area of my chest, neck pains, a swollen area right where my neck meets my head (about 3 inches wide), joint and muscle pains, and pains in the area behind my ears. Sometimes, I also have pain above and under both eyes. I also consistently wake up in the middle of the night and can't go to sleep for an hour before I go back to sleep. Also, I have a low grade fever, and I feel fatigued. This kind of stuff has never happened to me before this week. I am only a teenager and I hope a professional can help me out! moreVoting Question: Burning muscle pain under left shoulder blade and chest?
When I sleep late (longer than usual) I get a burning, aching pain in my left side near my rib cage, shoulder blade, and chest. Sometimes it causes my left arm to feel numb or tingly. It hurts to breathe deeply, and it doesn't go away all day. I assume it has something to do with sleeping on one side too long. Using a back massager helps a little, but it doesn't completely go away. Could it be a pinched nerve? Or is it a muscle problem?
moreResolved Question: Should I be worried about a sharp pain in my lung/rib area?
I have this sharp, isolated pain that seems to come and go in my lung/rib area. I'm not even sure if lungs have pain receptors, but it feels like there's a bubble in between my left lung and a rib. And when I inhale and my lung expands, it seems to press the bubble against my rib even more and the pain becomes more intense. I'm only aware of this "bubble" when it starts to hurt. I'm not sure what brings it about because it seems entirely random, but one common factor is that I start to notice it when I'm laying on my left side.
I tried using WebMD to figure it out, but there weren't really any options for "lung pain" and it kept telling me to call emergency services because my symptoms fell under left-sided chest pain...like, heart attack or something. But I swear it feels like it's my lung. I'm 19, don't smoke/drink, and otherwise healthy.

I am a 22 year old female and have finally been reffered to have a chest x ray, after going backwards and forwards to the doctors for a little over 4 years. I get chest pain in a very worrying place- my bottom left side (under my rib cage) I would say the pain is a sharp ache that is made worse when I take in deep breaths- when the pain is bad it stops me in my tracks, and I am scared to breath because it hurts do much. I have just started a new job that is quite stressful- and it has begun again after a period of non existence!
Anyway, I have a chest x ray soon. What do you think they could find with that. I want to prepare myself. I am scared s h i t less.Yes-- this is what I thought, inflamation- but why? I want to know what it is. I have been putting up with this pain, sometimes severe, for way too long now.

I have had this awful pain under my left ribs for a couple of years. My stomach is always gassy and painful. It burns and aches all the way around my back. I also haved this terrible chest pain in the center of my chest between my breasts. When I lye down if hurts to turn and feels like a train is on my back.....so some people say hiatal hernias don't hurt. The ER doctor said people live with them. moreResolved Question: Pain in Left Side of Body (Chest) Under Ribs?
Firstly, I'm 19 years old, a fairly active person and don't smoke. It first started about a week and a half ago. I felt it after a night out drinking (hadn't gone out drinking for just over a month previous to that night) and for the rest of that day I began to experience some really sharp, severe pains from the left side of my body (particularly when exhaling) under my ribs just under the left breast. I had joked to a couple of friends I had gone out with that if felt like I had a 'punctured lung'. It seemed to gradually go away afer that day but yesterday (just over a week later) I could feel it again and felt discomfort lying in bed. After taking a couple of Ibuprofen tablets I played some football today and found any movement difficult and painful at first but I think the Ibuprofen gradually kicked in and it wasn't so bad.
I plan to see a doctor about it this week but just wanted to know if anyone had similar problems. As I like my sport (football mostly and tennis when the weather's good) I hope that this is not going to be an ongoing problem.
Cheers.

I have had a lot of problems with no one knowing what it is, i need some expert advice!!!!PLEASE!!!!!!! Ok i'll start at the beginning. About two years ago i had a feeling of a burnt tongue, it felt like the end of my tongue was burnt. After a few weeks of this the feeling moved to the side of my tongue and i had a feeling of a lump in my throat. With to the doctors and had a bariumm done, and the doctor said i had a little acid reflex. Was put on nexium, which does not help.I have seen two ENT and had the camera put down my throat and they said that they see nothing. This have been going on for two years now. I have had ultrasounds and thyroidd scans done. Also had neck ultrasound done. All came back ok.About a year ago i had salivary stones 3 times and one obstruction in which my gland swelled but it came out on its own. I also have a right tonsil that is a little bigger then the left one, with two white spots on them which has been there for at least a year.
Since then i have had the gland swell and i have a swollen feeling that feels like it goes all the way down my throat and some pain in my right chest under my rib cage. I sometimes have sinus pain and a feeling of pressure in my ear. Today i had a little numbness in the corner of lips. I have another appointment with the ENT at the end of the month. Can anyone tell me what this maybe, or questions that i should be asking the ENT. I'm a wits end have had all kinds of test done and seem to just be getting the run around. By the way the swelling cames and goes. Sometimes the swelling is there for a week then gone somewhat of a few days only to come back again.

moreResolved Question: What can I do for my pain?
I have a pain in the right side of my upper flank, just under the ribs.
I think that it's my liver, but my doctors won't tell me. It's a very long story. Here's just a short version...
When I was 13, I started my period, and I started to hemorrhage severely.
I bled for 3 weeks, and was very sick. My parents finally figured something was very wrong with me. ( I never told my parents, but they figured it out anyway) They rushed me to the E.R. and they admitted me for a week there. After, I was fine. Until a year later...
I was at my grandma's house, and when we were shopping I started to get short of breath. At first, I ignored it, until it got very painful.
after about 45 minutes, it was hurting so bad I couldn't take a deep breath. My grandma took me back to her house, and I laid down for a while. My grandma kept asking me if she should call an ambulance, but I told her no, so I suffered it out from 1:45 pm to 3:00am.
After that time, I finally told her I couldn't take it anymore, so we went to the E.R. At the E.R. they did a whole bunch of tests, and said I had a lymph node infection; to go home, I'll be fine.
Ok. Here' s the good stuff....
Ok, about 6 months later I had a similar pain, but this time it moved from my chest to my right upper abdomen.
I went to the E.R. again, and there they told me I had a gallbladder attack, I needed surgery if I wanted the pain to leave.
So I went and had the damn surgery done, and blop!
I was fine. or so I thought.
Again...
After 6 months the pain was back, but even worse than before.
At 6:00 am on a friday morning, I woke up and I couldn't breath, so my dad called an ambulance. This was not just comfortable, it was extreme pain!
Anyways, the EMS personnel told me my heart was skipping beats, so they took me to the local E.R. On the way there, they gave me 3 nitro's, which didn't even fade this pain.
This pain was just not I couldn't breath, it was a very sharp stabbing pain in my middle upper abdomen.
(like the "lymph node infection" pain, but much worse)
Anyways, when I got to the E.R. the doctor there told me I was just having a panic attack, to go home, I'd be fine.
So i left, and went to another E.R. ( because I know this pain is not normal)
And the doctor there told me the same thing.
I went home and tried to ignore the pain, but i couldn't.
So, at 6:30 am on saturday morning i went to yet another E.R.
And the doctor there asked me a couple questions, and then admitted me on the spot.
It turns out I had abnormal liver function tests, and really highly elevated bilirubin levels.
They kept me for 2 weeks, and then sent me home.
they never told me what was wrong, just that I had abnormal liver function tests, and high bilirubin levels.
Anyways, I had a follow up with my doctor, and she gave me neurontin to try to see if it would help me or not.
( the reason is that I've tried everything that's legal to dull this pain.
I've tried morphine, I've tried lortabs, percocets, ETC. )
So I tried it and it works better than everything else I've tried.
I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure out what this pain is. My doctor mentioned Hepatitis, but she's never tested me. I've had multiple blood transfusions when I was 13. Could this make me get Hepatitis? I was also diagnosed with Von Willebrands Disease at 13, so when I go to the dentist, or anything that could make me bleed, even a little bit, I have to have factor. So I've been exposed to A LOT of blood and blood products. And I have a quiet heart murmur.
I don't have any other health problems but this.
I just can't figure out why Neurontin helps me, when nothing else does.
I have no problem in taking Neurontin for a long time, I just want to know what is causing the pain.
I'm taking Neurontin 300 mg once daily.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!

moreResolved Question: Pains under the left rib?
For about a year now I have suffered from lower abdominal, and upper abdominal pain.
I had always had an uncomfortable feeling under my left/right ribs and in the middle of my chest/stomach area. After many doctor visits, and MANY tests, they discovered my gall bladder had quit working. The Doctor said that is what was causing all of my pain.
I then had my gall bladder removed. While they were in there, they found that I had a 'small, and not serious' uterus infection. I'm currently on antibiotics and treatments for that.
The pain in the lower abdominal area isn't as bad. Still there, but slowly getting better.
I have noticed now that the pain under my left rib has came back. It's been almost a month since my surgery. When I went for the follow up, with the surgeon, he asked how I was feeling and I told him fine. Then, a day or two later, it flared up.
I have been getting symptoms as if my gall bladder was still there. I've been belching quite a bit. I've been experiencing the discomfort between my ribs/top stomach area, and a nagging pain in the left side, under my rib. (Same spot it was in due to gall bladder issues)
I can't understand why these pains have come back? Is it the foods I have been eating? I really haven't watched my diet, and I've been drinking a lot of Orange Juice (Which, I do have acid reflux disease), and I've been eating things such as pizza, chinese, etc.
Do you think it's my diet causing these pains?
moreResolved Question: Stabbing Chest Pains?
I don't have a cough...
My dad gave me some chest decongestant, but all that did was taste horrible... it's been half an hour. Nothing happened.
It's in the front of my chest.. whenever I breathe in deeply I feel like someone's stabbing a knife in between my ribs and into my left lung...
I can't sleep because whenever I lay down it feels agonizing... the weird thing is I can lay curled up --for a while. After about 5 minutes it's randomized pain.
It's not even consistent.. it's horrible..
I think maybe I pulled a muscle or something crying so much yesterday (I get verbally abused by my parents a lot.. they yelled at me for hours, eventually I ended up crying.. <---just to tell you the tears weren't from pain or anything ) ... I am under a lot of stress, too..
I have been sick a few days now with stomach flu, so today I slept most of the day...
I also recently self-pierced my ears (4 times each.. lobe and cartilage), but I don't think this has anything to do with it.. I did a really good job disinfecting and cleaning them every day...
I am 14.. almost 15...
I just have no idea what this is!!! I'm covering all my bases.. can't find anything else on this, though...
It's happened before.. usually when i'm lying down or when I wake up. It's the same pain, But it usually FADES! This has hurt for hours, now.. it's faded a little but then it comes back worse... Please help!!
<TT~~~TT> !!! <-- sad face
moreResolved Question: Lower chest pain after eating... ?
After eating, I sometimes feel dull to stabbing pains in my lower chest, under my ribs. I can't tell if there's a certain kind of food that does it. Once I had vegetable soup with zero fat, and it was terribly painful. I had a salad once, and nothing happened. Powdered hot chocolate hurts, milk hurts... The pain usually LESSENS if I lay down. It's not a burning pain. I don't *think* the pain is more severe on one side than the other, but sometimes it might be little worse on the left.
I am 19, female, 5'7" and about 120 lbs.

moreResolved Question: What could be the cause of my Chest Pain?
Every month or so I get a chest pain under my left breast where the rib is. I am a 17 year old female and When they do occur sometime they occur more then once before going away and sometimes they last a long time its a sharp pain. Sometimes I'm nervous but normally I'm just relaxed and they happen. Recently I couldn't give blood because I had too low of blood pressure but of course I go to the doctor and my blood pressure is normal. Are my chest pains stomach related perhaps or somehow related to my blood pressure I have not complained to my doctor about them since they only happen once a month or so.
moreResolved Question: I think I cracked my ribs.?
My boyfriend and I were snowfight about 2 weeks ago. He landed on top of me and I heard a crack. At first I thought it was my back that had cracked, but when I stood up I had a sharp pain on my left side. I knew it was my ribs. Its been 2 weeks and my left side right under my breast is very sore, From the middle of my chest to my side. Should I go see a doctor or will it heal on its own?
moreVoting Question: Sharp, shooting pains rib cage to pelvic bone could mean?
Just wanted to know what the following symptoms could mean:
Starting in my chest (under my right breast, right near my sternum), I have a sharp shooting pain that travels down to my pelvic bone. It also travels across a bit to the other side of my chest, but not the entire way across.
It happened last night when I went to go to sleep. I inhaled deeply and it was almost incapacitating pain. Then I sat up, and it happened again, even worse. It kept happening, when I sat up or when I took too deep a breath.
It also happened today, while folding laundry. Which is weird since I was doing all sorts of muscle-stretching things, but laundry is when made the pain start again. This time on the left side, under my breast and shoot over to the side of my body/rib cage area.
Then it happened again this evening as I was lying on my stomach. It was on my left side, on my back, and was just a quick, sharp pain that didn't move much.
Any ideas?
I've had a kidney infection before (it was a severe one, infected my bloodstream). I took meds and doctors said it went away. I've also been really careful (drinking lots of cran. juice, being more hygenically aware, etc.).
And I've heard it could be pregnancy symptoms, which is possible I might be.
So?
Thanks!

Any ideas what it is?
moreResolved Question: I don't know what kind of doctor I need to see, please help!?
Something is wrong, and it's not going away >.< I have had basic tests done, but nothing more... I don't think they are taking me seriously (both doctors that I've been to, and one is an internist). I'm 18, and after taking antibiotics in september/october (2 were full-course, one was only for a couple of days because it messed up my gut >.<) I have been a mess, this all started after taking that medicine but I have no idea if its related:
1. Chest tightness I've had since the middle of October has NOT gone away.
2. Abdominal pain that goes back and forth between my left side and right side, very rarely is it both sides at the same time. The left side is extremely tender to the touch when it's hurting.
3. Entire rib cage feels inflamed, it hurts pretty bad when pressed on.
4. Worst pain is at both sides of my rib cage under my breasts, as well as in the middle of my chest right at the top of my breasts.
5. A few weeks ago I started to have vaginal pain/itching/discomfort and slightly odorful/yellow discharge. I got a cream to take care of that and it went away, but now 2 weeks later it's back again (though not as severe)
6. Strange white patches on my left breast, which is surrounded by what looks like a giant zit breakout. I've had that for a few years but it's getting worse and worse (the zit-like bumps, not the white patches).
7. Pain has radiated to my upper and lower back, and is extremely uncomfortable sometimes at night.
8. Occasional pains in arms, hands, elbows, and especially the knees and ankles. It flares up then goes away.
9. More fatigued. I also have sinus stuff going on and when that flares up I feel like I hardly have any energy at all, and now my headaches/pressure feel worse.
10. Trouble urinating. It was every so often now it's all the time. It's not painful, it's just like I can't relax enough to go.
11. Ovarian pain or colon pain? My left one tends to hurt right before my period, but now it's hurting more after too, and it's much worse then usual. Though this feels worse when I have gas/need to have a BM, which makes me wonder if its colon pain rather then the ovary. I've had a lot of that since taking that medicine, and i've only had a handful of "normal" BMs since October, if that many. For awhile I also had gray/super pale BMs, but I quit taking the Nexium I was taking and that went away and never came back.
I have anxiety, but I have not had a flare up in awhile, plus when I have anxiety it's more of my neck that tenses up, and it hasn't been tense/painful in awhile now. They keep saying its all anxiety but I've been relaxed and having fun and had times where I don't think about all of this, but it's not going away. When I have a real panic attack, I don't have pain, just more the tightness of chest, but my chest feels tight all the time no matter how I feel or what I am doing. I'm really sick of that, and if it was really anxiety you think it would wax and wane depending on how I'm feeling but it doesn't.
I want to find a doctor who's going to take me seriously, and look into all possible causes, even though I'm just 18. Someone else suggest fibro myalgia (which I would like to be tested for) but the doctors say I'm not old enough to have it, but anyone can have it, at any age. They tested me for stuff like RA and juvenile diabetes but that all came back negative.
I'm angry and miserable because I feel like this, and I'm tired of taking medicine, especially because none of it works. I want someone to really look into what might be causing all of this and see if they can find out what's going on. I get plenty of sleep, I eat pretty well, drink a lot of water, and get exercise, I'm also not overweight. I gained some weight when I started feeling bad but I feel terrible when I try to exercise like I was when I kept my weight off. I was doing an hour or 2 a day and now 30 minutes can leave me feeling crappy depending on what I'm doing....
If there is a certain kind of doctor I should be looking for I would like to know.... I feel like I'm old and sick and tired, I can't stand feeling like this anymore!!!
I also live in the Dallas (not ft worth) area, if anyone knows someone to recommend around there.

Hello.

moreResolved Question: Advice about my sore chest please?
Hi. Several weeks ago i was admitted to hospital with pains in my left breast and under my ribs. To keep it short there was no heart problems but they sent me for an exercise test anyway. Went to consultant a week or 2 later for the result which was fine and she said I probably had pleurisy. Was tested for that and got the results only yesterday (was tested 2 weeks ago) which were negative. I also saw the doctor yesterday because I was slightly breathless and he thought it could be pneumothorax so he sent me for an xray which showed nothing. He also listened to my lungs and couldn't hear anything. I have damaged my ribs/muscles and have had the pain on and off since the middle of November and he prescribed me an antiflammatory which I haven't yet taken. Today my chest is sore when I breathe in and it feels a bit heavy. Wouldn't the doctor have detected a chest infection? Could the problem with my rib muscles be contributing towards the soreness? Any home remedies to make it feel better? I would like some medical advice please. Thanks.

moreResolved Question: Gall bladder issues, someone help?
I go Wednesday to have my gall bladder removed. For 8 months I have been suffering from all kinds of pain, such as my lower right and left abdominal area hurting. pain under both sides of the ribs, and especially in the middle where the ribs split.
My doctor told me my gall bladder was only spitting out 13 percent of bile, when it's supposed to be in the 30's. He said it was basically dying, and I needed to get it out before the blood flow to it stops completely, making it life-threatening.
I am still iffy if everything I have wrong is my gall bladder, though. I went to the Doctor's (3 different ones) and two of them mentioned IBS, or ovaries. I know it's my gall bladder as well, 'cause I had tests done on it. So, to get that out of the way, I'm scared I will still have these symptoms.
So, my question is...
Can gall bladder cause these symptoms?
I get pain in the lower right abdominal area. Sometimes, I'll also get it in the lower left, but for a split second.
I also get pain in the left part of my stomach under my rib. It seems to hurt there more-so than my right side.
A lot of times my cramps I get feel like small menstrual cramps.
I get sharp pains in my back, and sometimes down my legs.
My neck/shoulders get really sore at times, and ache.
I also get pains in my chest.
I also get a little bit of tenderness on my lower right side. It's not severe. Sometimes I'll push on it and not feel a thing. Other times when I push down there, it's tender and hurts a little.
Does this sound along the lines of gall bladder, or maybe something else as well?

I recently discovered a weird, dull pain under my right rib cage. This pain only occurred when I sat down, and I feel like I need to lean to my left side so it doesn't hurt as much. I don't know if these are related, but if anyone knows what might be going on or what I should do, please let me know. This has been going on for about 2 weeks.

moreResolved Question: What does my irregular heart beat and headaches mean PLEASE help?
Im going to try to give as much information as I can and not leave anything out because I am pretty worried. I'm 19 Early this summer I got really sick with strep throat and went to the emergency room for an irregular heart beat, it went from 98 to 151 in seconds. After a shot it stayed between 120-134. Nothing less sometimes a few beats more. They called it tachycardia and didnt look into it any further. Every since then at random times I have irregular heart beats, mostly when I am sick. For the last 3 days it has been constant! I cant sleep because I hear it pounding really hard in my chest and I can hear it in my head. My heart feels like it flutters, sometimes even feeling it pulls against the muscles in my stomach. The headaches are bad, they are at the very tip of my head (where a hat goes), not the side, not the front, not the back, a little on my neck from time to time though. It feels like I have been sitting upside down for hours it lessens and worsens. Mostly at night I break out in cold sweats. When I cough it hurts and outlines the pain worse on the tip of my head. I dont smoke, i dont do drugs, i dont drink, im not depressed/stressed, no high blood pressure, no diabetes, its not a sinus headache, and im pretty sure its not a migrane. This is different, my dad blows it off and says its your sinuses! your congested! and gives me a BC powder. (BC powder fixes everything with him) I do have mild asthma but it is not bad, ive never had an attack and it never bothers me unless i inhale steam or cig. smoke. I can breathe fine through my nose, I can not take a deep breath because it hurts, every so often I do cough up a little flem. If it makes a difference it only really hurts on my left side, like under my lungs, ribs, kindney area. Everyone thinks im just "sick" I believe its more. Any advice on what may cause headaches and irregular heart beat that hurts from time to time is appreciated. Sorry it was so long but I wanted to give enough detail.
